Germany
German history and above all the German Constitution prohibit the recognition of Kosovo. All German governments from 1945 to the present have stood in obligation and will remain so far into the future to the victims of Fascism and National Socialist criminality, for the expulsion from their homes and the killing in German concentration camps of countless children and adults.
Germany’s own history, with unheard of crimes in all human experience, obliges her never to forget that injustice and to desist from any participation in further crimes by recognizing a state that seeks to base its creation on the expulsion from Kosovo of its own people – 250,000 Serbs, 180,000 Roma and at least as many other national minorities – Turks, Greeks, Montenegrins, Gorani etc. etc. This is impermissible under international law.
To the dispossessed it adds insult to injury, after expulsion from their homes almost ten years ago, for such a state to achieve recognition by preventing its population to return to their homes and native soil. Under international law this is impermissible. Disregard of UN Resolution 1244 is an added injustice, which Germany ’s Chancellor must at all costs avoid.
As citizen of the Federal Republic of Germany I demand that the government must refrain from all further disregard of international law. Recognition of Kosovo’s secession would be a reward for a policy of expulsion of populations and an encouragement to terrorists all over the world to employ terror as a legal means to achieve their goals.

Petrovski post

Petrovski post
